Who Is This For?
If you’re new to mountain biking or have only been riding for a short while, this session is the perfect starting point. It’s designed to give you a huge confidence boost while laying down the essential foundations of trail riding.
What You’ll Learn
This course focuses on the core skills every mountain biker needs to ride safely and confidently. Topics include:
- Body position on the bike – for balance and control
- Braking – smooth, safe, and effective stopping
- Weight shift – essential for navigating terrain
- Future trail awareness – reading the trail ahead
- Gears – when and how to shift efficiently
- Small climbs and descents – building strength and technique
We’ll break down each skill into manageable steps and give you time to practice in a supportive, structured environment.
Session Details
- Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Duration: up to 3 hours
- Location: High Lodge Thetford
- Coach: British Cycling-qualified MTB coach
- Group Size: Small group for personalised attention
Age Requirements
This is an adults (18+) course. However, Younger are welcome if accompanied by a participating adult.
