With such a sophisticated, powerful drivetrain, the S18 SWIFT is of course more than a downhill bike with an integrated shuttle function. This powerhouse also offers plenty of uphill flow and fun on uphill trails, with the Extended Boost feature in EMTB+ Assist Mode allowing you to climb heels and consecutive steps with ease. Another highlight is the new Dynamic Control function in EMTB+ and TURBO modes, which prevents the rear wheel from spinning and thus provides even more grip and traction. The new Kiox 400C colour display clearly presents all riding data and is now well protected and integrated into the top tube.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith 180 mm of travel front and rear, the S18 SWIFT tames the toughest tracks on the planet and is fit for any black line. Its uncompromising Fox Factory suspension with the responsive new Float X2 shock and torsion-resistant, sensitive 38 fork smooths out rock fields, rock steps and root carpets in equal measure. The Horst-Link rear suspension of the S18 SWIFT provides a variable progression that combines a sensitive response, a well-defined medium stroke and bottom-out protection in such a way that the entire suspension travel can be used optimally.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA downhill-specific 63.7° head angle (size M) ensures smoothness and self-confidence in high-speed passages and steep chutes. The flat, deep frame in Geolution Trail design is designed for maximum bike control and borderline cornering speeds. A 29 \/ 27.5 mixed wheel set and 440 mm chainstays (size M) provide direct handling and maneuverability. And the durable 7020-T6 aluminum construction of the S18 SWIFT doesn't care if a rock hits, you take a soil sample or case a landing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhether downhill flow or uphill flow, the kinematics of the rear suspension support the full spectrum of this bike with an ideal anti-squat characteristic. This allows for maximum traction and efficiency when pedaling in low gears and at the same time makes optimal use of full travel in long gears when riding fast. A full-length, straight seat tube with a large insertion depth allows the use of dropper posts with up to 250 mm travel. The 77.8° steep seat tube angle (size M) ensures ideal load distribution between the front and rear wheels, and plenty of standover height gives you plenty of room to move for aggressive maneuvers and style interludes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn terms of handling, driving dynamics and fun, weight also plays a decisive role. Without compromising on robustness and durability or questioning our preferred, indestructible material aluminium 7020-T6, the S18 SWIFT as a full-power superenduro weighs only 23.7 kg (size M) in the standard equipment. We achieve this low value through topology optimization, the complex load and material simulation of all frame components, hollow-milled volume components, so-called hollow milled parts and the use of a new hydroforming tube set. With a focus on diet, we opted for a closed down tube construction without a Quick Release battery and the Bosch PowerTube 600 battery for the S18 SWIFT. The PowerTube 600 is not only about 1 kg lighter than the PowerTube 800, it also has a significantly smaller cross-section. This allowed us to achieve a correspondingly smaller down tube diameter, for harmonious frame proportions and a slim, attractive design. If you want more battery power and range, you can boost it at any time with a 250 Wh range extender.
